The Michigan Association of Computer Users in Learning Conference draws over 5000+ educators from around the region.  It is a conference by educators for educators as it is one of the best conferences in the country that advocates for innovation, a shift in teaching pedagogy, and current practices that foster student learning..  My site if reflective of the past few years ideas, innovations, and inspiring teachers that are passionate about student engagement/learning.

I Just returned from an amazing the MACUL 2016 Conference in Grand Rapids, MI; Great people, powerful messages/keynotes, amazing breakout sessions and reminder as to why we teach; not data, but building relationships, fostering innovation, meeting students where they are, and igniting the flame within each of our students!

 Classroom management is a thing. Community relations is a thing. Visible learning, formative assessment, data analysis… these are things. You can study and practice and get better at these things. Technology exists to support those things. We’d be wise not to allow it to become a thing unto itself. Computers are valueless without an application, a designer, and a user.
